Forward Deployed Works LLC ("FWD," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse the site, request a Readiness Call, or communicate with us. Client projects may be covered by separate confidentiality and data-processing agreements.
1. Information we handle
- Information you provide. When our enquiry form is active, we collect your first name and email address, plus a phone number and company comments if you choose to provide them. We also receive the page from which you submit your enquiry. Resource requests can also include your name, email, and an optional note about the work you want to improve. Requesting help with the Playbook does not enroll you in a newsletter. Later correspondence may include business details and information you choose to share.
- Website activity and technical data. Our hosting and measurement providers may process page URLs, referring pages, browser and device information, approximate location, timestamps, performance measurements, and request or security logs. Hosting providers may process IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
- Scheduling or resource requests. If you use an activated scheduling or resource-download feature, the relevant form may request contact details and information needed to arrange the meeting or provide the resource.
Disabled preview forms do not submit enquiries. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, patient records, confidential client files, or other sensitive information through the public enquiry form.
2. How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, understand your business needs, assess whether we can help, arrange conversations, provide requested resources or services, maintain business records, improve the website, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.
Requesting a Readiness Call asks us to contact you about that enquiry. It does not automatically book a meeting or subscribe you to a marketing newsletter or automated text-message program. If you provide a phone number, we may use it to follow up about your request. You can ask us to stop optional follow-up at any time.
4. Cookies, local storage, and measurement
The site stores a timestamp in your browser’s local storage to avoid repeatedly showing the contact popup. It suppresses the automatic invitation for 24 hours. That timestamp does not contain your name, email address, phone number, or form answers. Clearing site storage resets this preference.
Vercel describes Web Analytics as using aggregated measurements without third-party cookies. This does not mean that all hosting logs or third-party features are anonymous. Activated HubSpot or Calendly features may use their own cookies or similar technologies, as described in their notices. Browser controls can restrict cookies, site storage, and scripts, although some features may then work differently.
5. External publications and links
Insights may display public article information from our Substack publication when connected. The feed is retrieved by our server. Following an article link, subscribing, or interacting on Substack takes place under Substack’s privacy policy. Other external websites have their own practices, which we do not control.
6. Retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, considering the nature of the enquiry, our business relationship, legal requirements, and the need to resolve disputes or maintain records. Information may remain in backups or provider records for additional periods under their retention processes. We seek to limit access to people and providers who need it for these purposes.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a separately agreed secure channel for confidential project information. Contact us if you believe information has been sent to us in error or exposed through this website.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
You may contact us to ask about information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or stop optional communications. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to access a copy, obtain portable information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or appeal a decision about a request. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for legal or legitimate business reasons.
Send requests to forwarddeployedworks@gmail.com. Do not include sensitive identity documents in your initial email. We will explain any additional information reasonably needed to handle your request. You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator where applicable.
8. Location and international processing
FWD is based in the United States. We and our providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, we will address those requirements. Nothing in this policy removes protections that apply to you under mandatory law.
9. Children
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website, our services, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.
